The Bands That Died Too Soon.
Music has seen it’s fair share of bands come and go. Time gets the better of most groups and they disband and go their separate ways. Some have a massive legacy to leave behind, some abandon ship with nothing under their belt at all.
In this list, I’ll pick my best of the latter: These are the bands that I love and, quite possibly, no one else did. As perhaps they’d still be around today. Groups that died way too soon.
5. Strata.
Strata started off with a terrible start. Their debut album Strata packed full of nu-metal tracks that couldn’t live up to the other bands hanging out on the scene in 2004, which wasn’t a lot as nu-metal was biting the dust.
Their follow-up, 2007’s …Present The End of The World, is a atmospheric emo tinged wonderland. It fell short in places, but it hit peaks that showed massive promise.
4. The Movielife
They released a lot of stuff, but feels like they went way too soon. Side projects may be great (in parts) but they will be missed.
3. Desaparecidos
Connor Oberst’s dirty, post-hardcore sideproject that only released one album. It was great. Luckily they are reuniting this summer though for shows, who knows if it means more songs.
2. Elle Milano
Little known indie rockers who seemed like they could takeover the world when they hit the scene. Alas! They released one album, Meanwhile in Hollywood, and I still listen to it. A lot.
1. Hello Superhero
haha. Psych.
